NOT Holiday Doodles

Hey all!
The last post was holiday related. This is not. I've had this Batman project stewing for years now. My friend and I basically re-invent the Batman universe as a TV show, adapting comic stories for seasonal arcs, plotting long term character arcs, and reworking characters to create an interconnected and believable world. Most of our discussions start with "How in the hell would we make ____ a cool character?

For example, Poison Ivy is kind of lame. She's a botanist who turns evil when she gets plant powers. The only thing she's got going for her, honestly, is how freekin hot she is.

But we though "Ok, she basically becomes an eco-terrorist, right? What if she's a low level operative of the League of Shadows, a major eco-terrorist group in the Batman Mythology?" We do that kind of thing for pretty much every character. If we ever get to tell this story, you'll be amazed at how awesome Killer Moth's 9 season story arc is.

Anyhoo, from time to time I draw characters from this universe, trying to figure out exactly what it'd look like. I've been on a graphic-style kick lately, so here's what Killer Croc might look like in this world.

Next post will probably be art I've done for Christmas gifts. We'll see. I havent really started any of it...
