UPDATE

Hey hey!
So I dropped a little behind these past few days because I've been up to two things:

1. Helping my girlfriend sort out some issues with her thesis (I'll post some more panels soon!)

2. Prepping for my first day of work, which was today!

Expect a big update tomorrow or the next day! But I gotta get some sleep now!

Hello all five of you that follow this blog!
I didnt get to any pages today. I was helping my girlfriend with her thesis, bouncing around ideas on how to shorten/streamline the project so it's as tight as possible.

I still want to post every day, so here are some panels I drew for her!

See ya tomorrow!

Hey hey!
So plans to people watch in Hollywood fell through. Instead I drew in a Starbucks for a while.

Then, I did some design work for a buddy that's putting a web series together.

And just when I should have been going to bed (i.e. 1:30am), I threw on one of my favorite wrestling matches of all time. Bad move, considering it's well over an hour long...

Now it's bed time!

2011-01-14 (UPDATE 01-15)

Hey guys!
I got a little more done today! One page is kind of so so, but there's a bonus page to make up for it! I plan to finish the scratchy fight pic, I just need some distance from it.
I refined it a little more today (01-15)

Expect Hollywood people watching tomorrow!

I fell a drawing short for the 13th, and I'll hopefully be able to explain why next week. Good news though!

Anyhoo, here's what I got done!

Here are some characters from a project called "the Condiment Caper"

And random monsters

Until next post!

2011-01-12

Hey hey!
So today I drew some pretty rad drawings (at least I think so...).

The key focus today was learning folds. My friends Sherwin and April were kind enough to give me some advice on the Facebook, so I really dug in and took a look at how/why they work, and how artists utilize them in their work! Take a look at some of my older drawings, and you'll DEFINITELY see that I learned a little something today!

First up, here is some more "Katana Gunslinger" doodling. Not strictly development art, just me noodling with style/design. Most importantly, working with folds!

I told you that "Bucky O'Hare" fanart would start showing up. I've always wanted to redesign Bucky as slightly more rabbity than Michael Golden drew him, so here's yet ANOTHER attempt. I swear, I have "real Bucky" drawings going back to 2003.

I dunno... alien dude? Again, folds!

Just when I thought I was done for the night, I got really inspired and hammered out another Bucky page. I REALLY like how that full body shot came out!

Anyhoo, that was my day! See ya'll tomorrow!

PS: Yup. I just said ya'll.

2011-01-11

Woah! I'm actually posting today's work BEFORE MIDNIGHT! Woot!

Today is a lot of "Katana Gunslinger" work. In the near future (hopefully) I'll get the script for issue 2 and start drawing, so I wanted to explore some of the upcoming characters. This is the main character, Grey, lounging after a night of work.

This is some exploration of his buddy Art. Joe hasnt provided me with much info on him yet, so I said "what if he's a fat video game nerd" and drew the pic on the right.
On the bottom right is an idea I've been trying to sell Joe on. Basically, a magic book becomes important down the line, and I told Joe that it should talk to Grey and be his sidekick. He thought it was a stupid idea but I think its an AWESOME idea.

Last we've got some penguins! I'm just playing with how many different ways you can draw a penguin and still have it look like a penguin.

Until tomorrow!
